Day 20 - Mokau to Pio Pio and Te Kuiti

Day twenty was rain and rain and rain and .... It was too wet to try the Kontiki so we decided to drive to Pio Pio and if no parking then on to Te Kuiti. All through the Awakin Gorge it bucketed down so we drove to Te Kuiti where we knew was hard parking. We arrived at lunch time and as it was too wet to venture out we stayed in our vans and watched the river rise beside us. Tony and Trudy left to see family in Otorohanga.

Wally will be decided later but the likely person is the one who tied to remove the toilet cassette while his wife was seated. More on this later!!!!!!!!!!!!!
