Day 17 - Opunake to New Plymouth and TATATM

Day seventeen had everyone going their own way and sightseeing for the day before meeting in the early evening. We left Opunake and drove quietly to New Plymouth. Some stopped at beaches and the lighthouse on the way, while others drove straight to New Plymouth to do chores before sightseeing.

Most walked part of the walkway beside the sea and went to Puke Ariki, the I site and museum. In the afternoon we drove out the Taranaki AviationTransport And Technology Museum where we parked for the night. TATATM was well worth going through, mainly for the guys.

The Wally Award went to Mort.
