Day 43 - Simpson's Beach - Whitianga - Hot Water Beach & Cook's Beach

Day forty-three saw some members of the group leave to view Whitianga and to go to the Hot Water Beach and then on to Cook's Beach, while three vans decided to stay at Simpson's Beach. We all went into Whitianga before going our separate ways.

The group that went on enjoyed burning their bums in the hot water and the views at Cook's Beach.

The ones who stayed spent most of the day in and around Whitianga. We did the shops, then drove around the town, especially the Marina area of town where the expensive houses with their jetties and boat can be found. We took the ferry from Whitianga across the river and had a walk around the other side. Upon returning to Simpson's Beach some enjoyed the water and the pounding waves.
