Day thirty-nine saw us parked at Auckland Zoo and woken early with the crowing roosters and the howling gibbons. We drove up the road to the other zoo car park and then up the road to the MOTAT 2 car park. Gloria, Lynn and Trudi went into town while the rest of us went into MOTAT.
The girls went to Kelly Tarlton's Aquarium where the saw underwater world and the Antarctic Exhibition while travelling in a snow plough. They had lunch at the Viaduct, then took the Link bus for a circuit of Parnell, Newmarket, Ponsonby and K.Road.
The others viewed the planes and trains before taking the tram to MOTAT 1 and viewing all the exhibitions there. For me the Richard Pearse display was of great interest and the flying saucer ride through the Southern Alps was great.
When everyone was back at the buses we drove to Thames through the Auckland traffic. Navmans are great. We all arrived safely and met up with Sally and Ian. Now we are seven.
