Day thirty, a month since leaving home, we had a rest day. We slept in and then just stayed out of the sun around our buses. We had a walk in the evening.
Last night after writing the blog we decided to go down to the beach and send out the kontiki. We had great hopes for a good catch as it was night time. When we wound the line in we had twenty lots of seaweed, one lot on each hook. Not a good night. Bob has decided to give up on fishing and will take up morris dancing instead. We can't wait!!!!!!!!!
The other in the group that stayed in Auckland are beginning to make their way north and we should join up in the next few days.
