Day sixty-one was overcast with odd spots. We left the beach and started driving to Hastings but was stopped by a closed road because of an accident. We then drove through the back roads exiting at Havelock North. We spent time in town and bought some of the award winning pies for our lunch. We then relocated to Hastings and spent time in town and later had lunch at a park - lovely hot pies.
We then left Hastings heading for the Motorhome park at Takapau. We spent time in Waipukurau but it was closed up. We arrived at Takapau and signed in before sleeps and a cuppa. About ten vans here.
